Bel Canto Literary Arts (BCLA) celebrates the vibrant storytelling of the Global Majority through literature, arts, and advocacy in Long Beach, California, and beyond. We create spaces where writers, artists, and communities can share stories, discover one another, and imagine what’s possible.
Stories have the power to bring us together.
Stories Build Community
Our work centers the storytelling of the Global Majority through literature, arts, and advocacy. We believe that writers and artists from historically underrepresented communities deserve meaningful platforms, resources, creative community, and opportunities to share their work.
Based in Long Beach, California, we build spaces for storytelling that connect local communities with broader cultural conversations.
