Vice President

Agatha Isabel serves as Vice President and supports the organization’s leadership, strategic development, community relationships, and mission-driven programming.

Agatha is the author of Houseplant Hookups: All the Dirt You Need to Find the Perfect Match, a witty and practical guide to finding and caring for the right plant companion. She is currently developing several projects, including a follow-up to Houseplant Hookups, a memoir weaving together nature, family, and identity, and a collection of short nonfiction essays.

Agatha also leads the BCB AI Ethics Book Club, a community space that brings readers together to explore the human, social, and ethical questions shaping artificial intelligence and emerging technology. The book club reflects her belief that accessible conversation, and diverse perspectives are essential to building a more thoughtful technological future.

Alongside her literary work, Agatha works in AI Governance, and Data Privacy. She helps organizations navigate emerging technologies with attention to human impact—translating complex questions about AI, data, trust, consent, and responsible innovation into practical, people-centered approaches.

Based in Southern California, Agatha brings an immigrant perspective and a deep belief in the power of community to everything she creates. Across her work—as an author, AI governance and privacy professional, plant enthusiast, and nonprofit leader—she is guided by a simple question: How can we nurture more honest, sustainable connections between people, technology, and the living world around us?
